Western Nebraska Regional Airport

The Western Nebraska Regional Airport provides passenger flights to and from Denver, Colorado through PenAir. They also have a regional aerial spraying service through Western Aviation and charter service through Valley Airways. 

Three miles east of Scottsbluff, in Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska, the Western Nebraska Regional Airport is owned by the Airport Authority of Scotts Bluff County. Located within the center of the United States, the airport is named after William B. Heilig. Known as “Scottsbluff’s Mr. Aviation,” he was a World War II United States Army Air Force primary flight instructor, a civilian flight instructor, and manager of the city’s airport. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015categorized it as a primary commercial service airport based in enplanements in 2008 (over 10,000).  The airport covers 1,806 acres (731 ha) at an elevation of 3,967 feet (1,209 m). It has two asphalt runways: 12/30 is 8,279 by 150 feet (2,523 x 46 m) and 5/23 is 8,002 by 150 feet (2,439 x 46 m).

The Western Nebraska Regional Airport has a total of three conference rooms, two of which are set up with 4 teleconferencing capabilities, screens for presentations and Skype. The largest conference area can accommodate approximately 80 people, the mid-size room can accommodate approximately 30 people, and the smallest of the three can accommodate 25 people. Food service for meetings is also available at the Flight Deck Restaurant and Lounge, a full service restaurant and lounge. This restaurant serves both Traditional and New American style food, barbecue, burgers, brunch, dinner, seafood, and a buffet. The Flight Deck Restaurant and Lounge welcomes both reservation and walk-ins; large groups are always welcome. With the family style atmosphere, the Flight Deck Restaurant and Lounge is sure to be a great place to take the whole family. With a wait staff that prides themselves on providing excellent customer service, the Flight Deck Restaurant and Lounge offers indoor and outdoor patio seating and is open seven days a week.
